Summary:	A water-purifying method is provided, wherein a first purifying material made of carbon fibers as a main body, and a second purifying material composed of a carbon material and iron material are immersed in an environmental water so as not only to decrease SS (suspended solid), total concentration of nitrogen and phosphorous in the environmental water, but also to decrease the values of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) and BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand). Especially, the value of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) which is more important as a pollution indicator in the environmental water can be stably decreased for a long time.
