Summary:The invention discloses a mobile communication apparatus and an infrared remote control method thereof. The mobile communication apparatus includes an infrared transceiver, a serial infrared receiver, a general purpose input/output, and a processing module. The infrared transceiver receives an infrared remote control signal to generate an electronic signal, and the infrared remote control signal is used for remotely controlling an operation of an electronic apparatus. The serial infrared receiver receives the electronic signal to generate an envelope signal first and then to generate an adjusted envelope signal by a retard comparison. The processing module receives the adjusted envelope signal through the general purpose input/output to generate a remote control coding corresponding to the operation. Therefore, the mobile communication apparatus has stored the remote control coding corresponding to the operation, and could respond to a user request to transmit the infrared remote control signal.
