More Information
Summary:The present invention discloses an organic/inorganic photovoltaic device with a bridging self-assembled monolayer(SAM) at the organic/inorganic interface to form a conducting polymer/inorganic semiconductor bilayer such that the compatibility of the inorganic substrate with the conducting polymer is enhanced. Alternatively, the bridging SAM can polymerize with the conducting monomer to form a conducting polymer/inorganic semiconductor hybrid. The bridging SAM molecules contain, at each of their two ends, a functional group that bonds to the inorganic substrate and a conducting monomer, respectively.
