Summary:An object of the present invention is to provide a method for conversion of hydrocarbons using a shaped zeolite catalyst having a high catalytic activity, a long catalyst life and a high crushing strength, which can be used for an industrial reaction process of a fixed bed using hydrocarbons as a raw material, while comprising a low content of an inorganic binder and having a high pore volume. The shaped zeolite catalyst used for the method of the present invention is a shaped zeolite catalyst comprising zeolite and an inorganic binder, which is obtained by kneading zeolite, a raw material for an inorganic binder, a shaping auxiliary agent, organic polymer particles having an average diameter of 0.1 to 6 m and water to produce a kneaded product and extruding said kneaded product, and drying and calcining the extruded body, wherein a content of a zeolite component is 60% by weight or more based on the whole amount; a pore volume of the above shaped zeolite catalyst is 0.4 to 1.0 ml/g; a pore diameter at centra
