Summary: | This patent provides a means for the transformation of a mixture of pyrophyllite [Al2Si4O10(OH)2] and sericite[KAl2(AlSi3)O10(OH)2] to analcime [NaAlSi2O6.H2O]. In this patent, a mixture of pyrophyllite and sericite (pyrophyllite and sericite mass ratio is from 1:0 to 0:1) is mixed with a solution of sodium silicate (Na2SiO3) of concentrations from 0.5 M to 10 M and/or NaF of concentrations from 0.1 M to 1 M or NaCl or NaOH or Na2(PO3)6) or Na2CO3, of the same concentration ranges as NaF. The solid mass(unit in g) and solution volume(unit in ml) ratios are from 1: 5 to 1: 30. Under the conditions of temperatures between 110 DEG C to 300 DEG C, pressures between 1. 4 atm and 85 atm and reaction times from 0. 5 to 24 hours, the mixture of pyrophyllite and sericite can be transformed into analcime. |
