The metal mold is one for forming an optical device with multiple orbicular zone structures, characterized in that the metal mold has a face having concentric multiple orbicular zone structures, and that each of the orbicular zone structures has a bottom face with given width in the radial direction of the orbicular zone structures, a side wall face and a flute connecting the bottom face with the side wall face, constructed of a curved surface of 0.5 to 2 m radius of curvature.
