Summary:This invention relates to a garbage bin with a buffering device mainly comprising a base, a bin, and a cover. The base is provided with a transmission pole. The bin is connected to the base at one end and has an opening at the other end opposite to the base. A pedal connected to the bin at the front edge in proximity to the base is connected to a transmission pole, and a pivoting hinge is disposed on the bin at the rear edge in proximity to the opening; a touching member is further disposed in the bin. The cover has a pivoting member connected to the pivoting hinge, and the pivoting member is provided with a linking pole connected to the transmission pole. The linking pole is provided with a connecting member, which is equipped with a buffering device for contacting the touching member. By the aforementioned configuration, the buffering device may absorb the force produced when the cover is in contact with the bin so as to enable the cover be moved slowly onto the opening and damp the voice of closure.
