Summary:The present invention provides a battery voltage equalizing device to equalize the voltages of the series of connected battery strings. The series of connected battery strings are divided into several groups. Each group is equalized by a voltage equalizer and different groups are equalized by at least voltage equalizer. The voltage equalizers have a hierarchal architecture. Each of the first level of voltage equalizers of the hierarchal architecture equalizes the voltages of each group, respectively. The other level of voltage equalizers equalize the voltages of different groups.
