Method and system for reducing artifacts in image detection
Multiple images of an object are captured by one or more imagers (300). Each image is captured with one or more differing image capture parameters. Image capture parameters include the status (i.e., on or off), wavelength and position of each light source (302, 304, 306, 308) and the status and posi...

Summary: | Multiple images of an object are captured by one or more imagers (300). Each image is captured with one or more differing image capture parameters. Image capture parameters include the status (i.e., on or off), wavelength and position of each light source (302, 304, 306, 308) and the status and position of each imager (300). Two or more difference images (410, 428) are then generated using at least a portion of the captured images and the difference images (410, 428) analyzed to detect the object. The reflections from artifacts are reduced or largely cancelled out in the difference images (410, 428) when each image is captured with one or more different image capture parameters. |
