Summary: | The present invention relates to a process making colored abrasive element (Including abrasive tape and abrasive pad). Disclosed is a continuous coating process of colored abrasive element for precision polish coated on a pre-treated PET (polyethylene terephthalate) film matrix with a pre-mixing colored paste that includes abrasive powder with UV-curable resin binder, organic dye, dispersing agent and coupling agent. The first layer of this abrasive pad is coated with a gravure, Doctor knife, or roller coater. Then it is dried with a heat oven and an UV-irradiation in sequence. Its repeated process for a second coated layer of the abrasive element, it appears a higher percent of abrasive standing out of the surface. This continuous coating and rapid drying process making a homogenous product. This double-layered abrasive pad is used for precision polish, its top layer is wearing out and the bottom layer of the pad still providing a longer and better polish result.
