Summary:This invention relates to an apparatus and method of optical fiber condition monitoring in optical network. The method comprises the following procedures: firstly, it installs an optical filter with filtering different corresponding wavelengths at a front end of each branching optical path in an optical network. Further, it sequentially input optical signals with each respective wavelength in each branching optical path. Furthermore, it analyses the optical signal reflected by each branching optical path to identify the respective condition of each respective optical path in the optical network. Eventually, while monitoring optical fiber quality, it solves the mutual interference issue among multiple branching optical paths.
