Summary: | The present invention relates to a device for manufacturing a master disc for mastering data on an optical record carrier. To achieve reduced jitter levels resulting from pit widths that are too large, which might result in cross talk effects during read out or even cross write effects during mastering, the application of a pulsed write strategy for manufacturing the master disc is proposed, wherein the pits are recorded by a sequence of a predetermined number of write pulses, said sequence including a number of write pulses having a light intensity of substantially zero. |
