Summary: | This invention relates to a spring type modulation circuit and method for voltage regulator, which includes a differential amplifier for generating a pair of voltage and current signals in proportional to the difference between the predetermined reference signal and the feedback signal from the voltage regulator, and a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal generator for generating a PWM signal according to the paired voltage and current signals to regulate the output voltage of the voltage regulator. As to the load transient response, the bigger the difference between the reference signal and the feedback signal is, the longer the duty cycle of the PWM signal becomes; therefore, the duty cycle of the PWM signal will gradually become smaller when the feedback signal is approaching the reference signal. |
