Summary:The present invention provides a method for trimming shading area used in the process of manufacturing thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) panel, wherein the TFT-LCD panel has a shading area and is covered with a layer of shading material. The method for trimming shading area comprises: inputting a shading area pattern for comparison aligning the shading area with the shading area pattern, and removing the shading material not covering the shading area according to the shading area pattern.
