The object of the present invention is to provide a green pigment for a color filter, which is capable of providing a color coordinate that cannot be provided by conventional green pigments, excellent in the coloring power of green, not so strong in the bluing effect, and has a high transmittance, and to provide a photosensitive coloring composition using the green pigment, a pigment dispersion, the color filter and a liquid crystal panel. To achieve the object, the inventive green pigment for a color filter is composed of phthalocyanine green pigment and capable of displaying xy color coordinates region enclosed by prescribed equations 1, 2 and 3 in an XYZ color display system of CIE. Besides, by using the green pigment, a photosensitive color composition for a color filter having a wide color reproduction range and a high transmittance is provided.
