Alk : 2-6C alkylene; W 1>-N(R1a)-C(=O)-R or -C(=O)-N(R1a)-R; and R, R1a : H or 1-6C alkyl (optionally substituted by halo, OH or alkoxy), where the alkyl group in alkoxy has 1-6C. Independent claims are included for: (1) the preparation of (I); and (2) substituted 3-aza-bicyclo[3.1.0]hexane compounds of formulae (VI)-(IX), which are useful as intermediates for the synthesis of (I) (where W 1>is -CONRR1a).
