DNK - SEQUENCES CODING THE NEW BIOSYNTHETIC PRECURSORS OF INSULIN AND METHOD OF INSULINE PREPARATION
The present invention relates to DNA sequences encoding insulin precursors of formula B-Pg-A, wherein B and A represent B- and A-chains, respectively, and Pg represents modified C-peptide or any number of amino acids comprising at least one glycosylation consensus site. The invention also relates to...

Summary: | The present invention relates to DNA sequences encoding insulin precursors of formula B-Pg-A, wherein B and A represent B- and A-chains, respectively, and Pg represents modified C-peptide or any number of amino acids comprising at least one glycosylation consensus site. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of insulin by culturing suitable cells, preferably fungal cells, transformed with a vector comprising DNA sequence encoding insulin precursor of given formula. The invention further relates to DNA sequences encoding pharmaceutical peptides and proteins in which N-glycosylation consensus site is introduced in a non-essential site in any spacer region for higher expression and secretion of proteins. |
