Summary:The device for measuring mechanical properties at a predetermined point of weld joint consists of a body (1) of a cutter (21) with a circular hole (14), a closing part (2) of the cutter (21), which are connected by screws (3). Between the body (1) of the cutter (21) and the closing part (2) of the cutter (21) is an inserted pusher (4) with a circular hole (15), in which the cutter (5) with the possibility of its axial rotation is inserted. In the circular hole (14) of the body (1) the cutter (21) is inserted with the possibility of its axial rotation. The tested sample (6) is placed in one part in the square hole (18) of the cutter (5) and in the other part in the square hole (19) of the cutter (8). The square hole (18) of the cutter (5) is closed on one side by a technological plug (7) to define the position of the test sample (6) and the square hole (19) of the cutter (8) is closed on one side by a closing insert (9) to define the position of the test sample (6). In the cutting edge (16) of the cutter (5) is formed by the planar surface in the square hole (18) of the cutter (5) and the cutting edge (17) of the cutter (8) is formed by a planar surface in the square hole (19) of the cutter (8). The measurement is started by pressing on the pusher (4), while the loading force on the pusher (4) and the displacement of the pusher (4) is measured and documented. The cutting edges (16) and (17) of the cutter (5) and cutter (8) act against each other on the surface of the test specimen (6) and finally cut the test specimen (6), which completes the test. The shear strength of the test specimen (6) is determined from the recorded value of the maximum loading force (6).From the dependence of the maximum load forces and displacements of the pusher (4) toughness is determined. Meranie sa spustí prítlakom na tlačník (4), pričom sa merajú a dokumentujú zaťažujúca sila na tlačník (4) a premiestnenie tlačníka (4), strižné hrany (16) strižníka (5) a (17) strižnice (8), pohybom proti sebe pôsobia rovnomerne na povrch skúšanej vzorky (6) a nakoniec prestrihnú skúšanú vzorku (6), čím je skúška ukončená a zo zaznamenanej hodnoty maximálnej zaťažujúcej sily pri prestrihnutí skúšanej vzorky (6) sa stanoví pevnosť v strihu skúšanej vzorky (6) a zo závislosti maximálnej zaťažujúcej sily a premiestnenia tlačníka (4) jej húževnatosť.
