Summary: | Disclosed is a process for the peparation of [3- -(alkoxycarbonylamino)-phenyl]-N-(aryl-3)carbamates of the general formula (I), wherein R = C1 to C4alkyl, alyl and R' = H or methyl, which process can be chracterised in that carbon monoxide reacts with 3-nitrophenol in an aliphatic C1 to C4 alcohol residue, at from 80 to 220 degrees Celsius, and at from 2 to 30 MPa till the conversion of from 50 to 100 percent 3-nitroohenol is obtained during the catalytic effect of the system upon a base of a noble metal VIII compound selected from the group containing Pd, Pt in an amount of from 0.001 to 2 wt%, relative to aromatic nitrocompounds and from 1 to 40 wt% of Lewis acid (FeCl3, SnCl4) or amine, or a catalytic system based on sulphur or the compounds thereof (COS, CS2, H2S) in an amount of from 2 to 15 wt%/nitrocompounds, from 0.3 to 4 wt% of alk. metal alkoxide and quinquevalent vanade compounds. A product of the stated formula is islolated after terminating said reaction and after separating unconverted materials, catalytic system components and a solvent. |
