The procedure of preparation and/or purification closed to clavulane acid or a salt of that which acceptable for pharmaceutical point of view is provided based on the contact of tertiary octylamine with non-purified clavulane acid or with an unsteady derivative of it, while an organic solvent is present, and after that the created tertiary octylamine salt closed to clavulane acid is isolated, in the next stage the created salt is converted to the clavulane acid or to the salt or ester of that which is acceptable form pharmaceutical point of view.
