The invention relates to novel 1-(2-fluorocyclopropyl)quinolone- and -naphthyridonecarboxylic acid derivatives which are substituted in the 7-position by a (2,3,4,5,6,7-hexahydro-1H-pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrid-2-yl) or (1,2,3,4,5,6-hexahydro-pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrol-2-yl) radical of the formula (I) in which R is hydrogen, optionally hydroxyl-substituted C1-C3-alkyl, C1-C4-alkoxycarbonyl, optionally halogen-substituted acetyl or (5-methyl-2-oxo-1,3-dioxol-4-yl)-methyl, R is hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms which is optionally substituted by hydroxyl, methoxy, amino, methylamino or dimethylamino, or is (5-methyl-2-oxo-1,3-dioxol-4-yl)-methyl, acetoxymethyl or pivaloyloxymethyl, n is 0 or 1, X is halogen or nitrogen, X is hydrogen, halogen, amino or methyl, A is N, C-H, C-F, C-Cl, C-Br, C-CF3, C-OCH3, C-OCHF2, C-CH3 or C-C IDENTICAL CH and their pharmaceutically utilisable hydrates and acid addition salts, as well as the alkali metal salts, alkaline earth metal salts, silver salts and guanidinium salts of the basic carboxylic acids, to processes for their preparation, and to antibacterial compositions comprising them.
