Summary: | A process for the re-generation of a used catalyst from a hydrocarbon treatment process comprises at least one precious metal amongst Ag, Au, Ru, Rh, Pd, Os, Ir and Pt, and at least one porous support. The process is effected in 2 stages: (1) Combustion of the coke present on the catalyst, at 300-680 degrees C. for 0.3-7 h; (2) Oxyhalogenation in a controlled air atmos. at 300-650 degrees C. for 0.3-7 h and in the presence of a halogen cpd. The process is carried out off-site, and the steps are effected in a fluidised bed furnace. |
