Summary:A method for inspecting ophthalmic parts comprising colorants, wherein the ophthalmic part is inspected for a possible decentration of the coloured area by establishing and comparing the centre of the coloured area with the centre of a reference means, and wherein the ophthalmic part is inspected for possible defective areas by pixel wise comparing intensities of an image of a standard ophthalmic part with the intensities of an image of the ophthalmic part to be inspected.
