Summary:The present invention provides devices for distributing sample material to a plurality of process chambers (50) in a sample processing device (10). The process chambers (50) are located along conduits (40) extending from a loading chamber (30) and, together, the loading chamber (30), conduits (40), and process chambers (50) form process arrays (20) that are aligned along a length of the sample processing devices (10). The process arrays are unvented, i.e., access to the interior volume of the process arrays (20) is available only through the loading chamber (30). Also disclosed is an assembly including a sample processing device (10) and a carrier (780).
