In one embodiment, in an elevator control system which controls a plurality of cars as a group, the elevator control system is provided with a hall destination floor registration device to register a destination floor at a hall of a prescribed floor, a hall person number detection unit to detect a number of passengers who perform destination floor registration and are waiting at the hall where the hall destination floor registration device is provided, a congestion state detection unit to detect a congestion state of each of the plurality of cars, a calculation unit to calculate a number of ridable persons for the each car from a rated capacity of the car and a detection result of the congestion state detection unit, a determination unit to determine whether the passengers at the hall where the hall destination floor registration device is provided are ridable for the each car from outputs of the hall person number detection unit and the calculation unit, and an allocation unit to select a ridable car from an output of the determination unit and to allocate the ridable car to the hall where the hall destination floor registration device is provided.
