Summary:1531867 Flame retarded polyamides BASF AG 19 March 1976 [21 March 1975] 11103/76 Heading C3R In thermoplastic polyamide moulding compositions flame-proofed with an organic halogen compound plus Sb 2 O 3 the amount of the latter (and possibly also the former) required can be reduced if it is provided on a support obtained by forming it in an aqueous suspension of an inorganic support, e.g. kaolin or talcum, from an aqueous solution of SbHa 3 by contact with an aqueous base at pH 6 to 8, precipitation of Sb 2 O 3 on to the support and separation from the aqueous phase. Reference is made to Specifications 1,311,401 and 1,192,363.
