Summary: | Disclosed are a flux for use with a nickel-based welding strip with high Mn and Nb contents and crack resistance and a welding method. The present invention relates to a flux for use with a nickel-based welding strip with high Mn and Nb contents and crack resistance and a welding method. An objective of the present invention is to provide a flux for use with a nickel-based welding strip with high Mn and Nb contents and crack resistance and a welding method. The flux of the invention includes CaF2, SiO2, A12O3, CaO, MgO, Cr2O3, an iron alloy or NaF, S and P. The welding method is carried out at a welding current of 950- 1100 A, a welding voltage of 28V, a welding speed of 180 mm/min, and a surfacing layer with thickness of 30 mm. The present invention overcomes the problem of high crack sensitivity of similar products, provides new alloy components with high Mn and Nb contents, and solves the problem of hot cracks in large thickness welding in engineering applications. The invention is applied to the field of nuclear power welding. |
