Summary:The system for inclining the body of the vehicle includes a piston-cylinder assembly located on each side of the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and the support by which the body of the vehicle rests on the running carriage in order to bring about the inclination, is produced via substantially vertical pivoting connecting rods in the form of inclination hydraulic cylinder assemblies. The inclination hydraulic cylinder assemblies 14, 16 are hydraulically coupled with at least one transverse hydraulic cylinder assembly 44, 46 so that the fluid delivered at the outlet of the transverse hydraulic cylinder assembly 44, 46 can be conveyed directly through a connection pipe 68, 70 of the pressurised side of each hydraulic cylinder assembly to deploy 14, 16. Application to the controlled inclination of railway vehicles under cornering, while keeping the instantaneous centre of rotation substantially fixed.
