Summary:An arrangement for sealing a pipe piece arranged in a reactor tank, with a pipe 10 welded to it, which extends upwards in the reactor tank, comprises a tool 13 with an outer tube 14 and at least one sealing ring 33, 34 which consists of elastomeric material and is axially compressible between a first flange 16 in one end of the tube and a second flange 36 which is arranged on a connecting rod 27 passing through the sealing ring, so as to be expanded radially to bear against the inside of the tube. For the compression, a spindle 17, mounted rotatably in the ends of the tube, is arranged in screw engagement with the connecting rod. Arranged in the pipe is a support 40 for said one end of the tube, while the tube, at its other end, has members 38 on its outside for rotating the tube preventing engagement with members 38, which interact therewith, in the pipe.
