Summary:The invention provides a diagnostic agent for the detection of (a) hydroperoxides or of substances which react with the liberation of hydroperoxides or of (b) peroxidase or of peroxidatively-active substances, comprising a stabilized oxidation indicator and, in case (a), peroxidase or a peroxidatively active substance or, in case (b), hydroperoxide or a substance which reacts with the liberation of hydroperoxides; wherein the stabilizer is a 1-arylsemicarbazide of the formula Ar-NH-NH-CO-NH2 in which Ar is aryl or aryl substituted with alkyl, alkoxy or halogen.
