The bush has annular ribs 8 and radial webs 9 extending into rebates 5 in a sleeve 4 integral with the thermoplastics lid 2. Polypropylene is injected to form the filling 12 and to mould a lead-in extension 13 for guiding a battery electrode post into the bush 1. A thin easily heated ridge 6 on sleeve 4 ensures a good joint with the injected material.
