Summary:When the fluid supply to an hydraulic motor normally driving a vehicle is insufficient to maintain the momentum of the vehicle, pressure reversal occurs in the motor which then acts as a pump. A relief valve, in addition to the main relief valve, is included in the vehicle transmission system to limit the pressure in the system only when this overrun condition occurs. When the system includes two or more motors a valve is provided to isolate one of the motors from the fluid supply. A single valve assembly includes the additional relief valve, its ancillary control valves and the isolating valve.
