Summary:FIELD: metallurgy, electrothermal production of silicon and its alloys. SUBSTANCE: silicides of iron, aluminium and calcium are changed to a water-soluble state during silicon tapping from furnace into a ladle or ingot mould by introduction of chlorides of alkali metals onto the surface of liquid silicon and subsequent washing of crushed silicon with water. EFFECT: enhanced quality of silicon. Изобретение относится к металлургии, а точнее к электротермическому получению кремния и его сплавов. Предложен способ повышения качества кремния за счет перевода силицидов железа, алюминия и кальция в водорастворимое состояние во время выпуска кремния из печи в ковш или изложницу путем введения на поверхность жидкого кремния хлоридов щелочных металлов с последующей промывкой дробленого кремния водой.
