Summary:FIELD: oil and gas industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to oil recovery and can be used to estimate gas amount recovered together with oil, as well as for operative control and regulation of oil and gas stock production process. Degassed oil density under standard conditions, gas solubility coefficient and stream temperature are measured on producing well head. Besides oil level is measured in annular space with annular pressure and gas solubility correction factor at average oil temperature in annular space. Gas factor is evaluated from condition of equality between gas volume separated from oil and free gas volume in annular space reduced to standard conditions. Herewith gas factor is independent on well stream watering and is not sensitive to oil foaminess. ^ EFFECT: higher accuracy of method with considerable reduction of well shutdown rates. ^ 1 tbl
