Summary:FIELD: agricultural industry; mechanics. ^ SUBSTANCE: device used for cutting fodder rolls consists of a vertical shaft, a roll-breaking link, and cutting disks meant for the side roll undercutting. The roll-breaking link includes a vertical pointed pin fixed in the shaft centre, and triangular plates adjoining the pin along its longitudinal surface. Side ribs of the plates are pointed. For supplying the roll to the shaft's top edge there provided is a conveyor with grabbing mechanisms. When falling down freely in the shaft the roll is undercut on the side with cutting disks, and when the roll bumps against the pointed pin and pointed plates, it breaks. ^ EFFECT: complete breaking of fodder rolls. ^ 2 cl, 3 dwg
