Summary:FIELD: mechanical engineering, stowage and transportation of ammunition, applicable for production of boxes for stowage of artillery rounds. ^ SUBSTANCE: the ammunition box has lateral and end face walls fastened to one another and to the bottom, and a cover hinge-joined to one of the lateral walls and provided with locks for connection to the other. The walls, bottom and cover are made of fireproof heat-insulating composite material. Basalt plastic is used as the composite material. The relation of the thicknesses of the walls, bottom and cover is preset by the formula. ^ EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of operation of the container for ammunition, prolonged service life of it and reduced specific consumption of materials. ^ 2 cl, 4 dwg
