Summary:FIELD: aviation; single-rotor helicopters. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed helicopter has steering rotor, profiled keel beam mounted on end of tail boom at angle relative to vertical plane of symmetry of fuselage, steering rotor pitch control unit, tail boom with aerodynamic profile of external outlines of cross sections forming additional force moment under action of inductive flow of air caused by rotation of main rotor blades; this force moment is counter-acting to reaction torque. Tail boom has variable profile of cross section and helical shape at smooth angular turn of profile of cross section outline. Centers of turn of profiles of cross sections along tail boom lie on straight line running through center of rounding-off radius of section at the beginning of tail boom. Mounted on tail of aerodynamic profile along tail boom is aerodynamic shield for change of angle of inclination relative to chord of aerodynamic profile of tail boom section. ^ EFFECT: enhanced controllability; increased flying altitude due to use of inductive vortex flow of air. ^ 9 cl, 7 dwg
