Summary:FIELD: welding processes and equipment, possibly repairing works in electrolysis shops, at restoration and mounting equipment and metallic structures in condition of action of magnetic fields caused by production process in welding zone. ^ SUBSTANCE: method is realized with use of AC high frequency current. Method comprises steps of changing polarity of electric current depending upon value of disturbance applied by magnetic field at time moment of achieving critical deflection of arc from position coaxial relative to electrode; detecting said time moment by comparing arc voltage with reference voltage at passing electric current of respective polarity. ^ EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities, stable quality of welded joints at condition of acting magnetic fields caused by production process. ^ 2 dwg, 1 ex
