Summary:FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves evacuating maxillary sinus content and introducing a photosensitizing agent. Porphyrins of khlorin line are used as the photosensitizing agents. Sinus walls are exposed to radiation of wavelength equal to applied photosensitizing agent absorption peak wavelength for 10-60 min with power of 0.10-0.35 W. Irradiation is carried out with laser radiation of 654-670 nm wavelength and radiation dose of 10-1000 J/cm2. Sinus walls are exposed to radiation 2 h later after introducing photosensitizing agent. The dose is accumulated stage-by-stage with 20-30 s long pauses during which the sinus is blown through and released from accumulated mucus. The maxillary sinus is washed with physiological salt solution 2 h before and after introducing the photosensitizing agent. Maxillary sinus washing with physiological salt solution is carried out during following 3-5 days after the treatment. EFFECT: full-scale recovery of maxillary sinus in accelerated treatment course. 6 cl, 5 tbl
