Summary:FIELD: water treatment. SUBSTANCE: process of clearing and cleaning natural water comprises saturation of original water with gaseous oxidant, modifying treatment of filter charge with original water, and subsequent filtration of original water through treated charge. According to invention, before modifying treatment, water is supplemented by potassium permanganate and filter charge utilized is composition of granulated material containing no ore than 90% quartz sand and no more than 50% Mn(II) oxide-based catalyst, the rest being adsorbent based on iron, magnesium, manganese, and silicon oxides.
