Summary:FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves producing ultraviolet radiation using isolated medium placed between walls of internal and external reservoir. The fluid medium flows in the internal reservoir and ultraviolet radiation passes through internal reservoir walls transparent to ultraviolet radiation from all sides. Circular maximum ultraviolet radiation concentration is created and the fluid medium is disinfected. Next to it, the radiation passes through walls transparent to it on all sides and enters the isolated medium producing ultraviolet radiation. Resulting ultraviolet radiation is transformed by luminescent material layer coating internal walls of external reservoir into visible light radiation or into erythematous radiation. Device has two reservoirs. The external reservoir having closed end faces is manufactured from material transparent to light, its internal side being covered with luminescent material layer. The internal through reservoir is manufactured from material transparent to ultraviolet radiation, its open end faces being brought outside, beyond the external reservoir space. Isolated medium filling space between the walls of both reservoirs produces ultraviolet radiation. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of disinfection; lower power consumption; solved problem of contaminating and cleaning luminescent material layer. 12 cl, 2 dwg
