Summary:FIELD: study of textile materials, objective evaluation of properties of materials bent in clothes in textile and light industry. SUBSTANCE: technique establishing relaxation characteristics of textile materials after bending consists in that sample from tested materials is subjected to test by bending of sample around mandrel so that sample takes form of semi-cylinder, bending effort is removed and parameters of vibrations of sample of tested textile article are used to evaluate its stiffness and relaxation characteristics ( time and damping factor of free vibrations of sample ), angular frequency of vibrations and angle of deviation of sample from initial state on termination of vibrations. EFFECT: authenticity and objectivity of evaluation of capability of textile materials to restoration of form after bending. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
