SUBSTANCE: invention can be employed for development of direct-action converters converting thermal energy directly to electric energy with high efficiency. In compliance with invention method of thermoelectric energy conversion includes placement of two heterogeneous elements in different temperatures. Elements come in the form of electrodes with heterogeneous physical-chemical properties of surfaces which are spaced apart by gap.
