Summary:FIELD: medicine, surgery. SUBSTANCE: one should remove the part of rectum together with tumor per peritoneum. Sigmoid flexure is descended into anus to direct it through intact anal canal. In 10-14 d excessive part of sigmoid flexure is dissected to apply sigmoanal anastomosis. Moreover, sigmoid flexure is connected "end-to-end" with anal canal mucosa. At descending sigmoid flexure it should be fixed to rectal stump. Rectal stump mucosa is dissected being distally against resection line of muscular membrane. Before dissecting mobilized complex one should wash rectal stump with 5-fluorouracil and alcoholic solution of chlorohexidine. The method enables to decrease the possibility for development of abscesses and phlegmons as a result of feces availability in pelvic cavity. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 ex
