Summary: | FIELD: industrial enterprises and domestic appliances. SUBSTANCE: device designed, for instance, to measure static charge of picture tubes and television sets as a whole incorporates provision of compensating for inherent charge of case which makes it possible to dispense with grounding the device during measurements and to produce this device in portable design form. Inherent charge compensation of sensor depends on its mechanical design incorporating two series-connected measuring capacitors, device case being used as common inner electrode of capacitors. Sensor case is symmetrical relative to plane crossing its center in parallel with outer measuring electrodes. Case charge induces charge of one polarity across outer measuring strips which is compensated for due to counterphase excitation of strips. Charges induced across strips by external field under measurement are of opposite polarity which causes summing of charges during counter-phase excitation. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities enabling use of device in domestic and field conditions. 1 cl, 2 dwg |
