Summary:FIELD: rocketry. SUBSTANCE: proposed gas vane can be used in solid-propellant rocket engines. Gas vane is installed in bracket mounted over nozzle and it contains fin with axle, adapter axially fixed relative to axle by screw or nut and fixed ion ring direction by pins or keys. It has also cup with outer threaded surface mating with bracket surface, bearings mating by outer races with inner surface of cup, elements locking bearings in cup and elements locking cup relative to bracket. Bearing locking element is placed between outer races of bearings, it presses lower bearing to cup bottom and it is made in form of expansion ring fitted in cup groove. Bushing is installed between inner races of bearings whose height exceeds height of expansion ring. Adapter is made in form of hollow shaft mated with bearing inner races and provided with cylindrical bead on outer end face and eyes. Cover is installed on screw on outer surface of bracket. Cover is provided with hole mated with cylindrical bead of adapter. Cylindrical belt mating with inner surface of cup is made coaxially to adapter bead. Elements locking cup relative to bracket are pins fitted in end face of cup in contact with corresponding blind holes made in cover. Invention makes it possible to reduce overall dimensions (height) of gas vane with provision of high accuracy of geometric arrangement of gas vane fin and possibility of sealing of gas vane and rocket compartments mater with gas vane.
