Summary:FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves illuminating testee eye with infrared radiation and recording reflected luminous flow by means of infrared radiation-sensitive TV-cameras. Particular type of stimulus for treating human patients like luminous flash, acoustic impulse signal or electric discharge applied to skin is selected. Image display errors are eliminated and pupil size is measured in absolute units in digital form in each frame of TV-image. Initial pupillogram set is recorded for every patient and individual reference data sets are built on their base. Device has personal computer, unit for fixing testee head, infrared illumination source, stimulus source, calibration unit, unit for recording reflected luminous flow being designed as infrared radiation-sensitive TV-cameras and signal converter. EFFECT: high accuracy of measurements; low cost. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl
