Summary:FIELD: medicine, diagnostics. SUBSTANCE: the suggested method deals with detecting mercury in patient's alveolar moisture condensate, for this purpose one should conduct sampling of 1 ml condensate into oxidizing agent's solutions bromine-nitrogen solution at bromine weight concentration being 3 g/cu. dm by adding 0.9 ml of the same oxidizing agent, then one should thermostate it for 3 h at 45±5°C, cooled and neutralized excess of oxidizing agent by supplementing 0.1 ml 10%-hydroxylamine hydrochloride solution followed by quantitative detection of mercury due to applying technique of atomic- absorption spectrometry. EFFECT: higher accuracy and sensitivity. 2 ex, 2 tbl
