FIELD: cleaning gases from finely-dispersed dropping liquid; entrapping compressor oil aerosols contained in compressed gases and air; fine separation of gas condensate and preparation of natural and associated petroleum gases. SUBSTANCE: separator has cylindrical housing with gas-and-liquid flow inlet branch pipe and filter element mounted on dividing tube sheet at length equal to 5-50 diameters of its outlet hole; it is made from lyophilic metal and/or metalloceramic material with front finely-dispersed membrane layer applied on coarse- porous membrane base; separator is also provided with two drain branch pipes mounted above and below dividing tube sheet and connected with liquid drain reservoirs, cylindrical dividing branch pipe of varying section which is located coaxially relative to filter element opposite its outlet hole at optimal distance; drain branch pipes are mounted along axis of housing; filter element is made in form of set of similar parallel filter elements with cylindrical dividing branch pipe each; additional cylindrical dividing branch pipe is axially located in inner cavity of each filter element; it has perforated lateral surface over entire length of filter element whose outlet is connected with inlet hole of cylindrical dividing branch pipe through additional circular drain branch pipe; mounted coaxially opposite its outlet hole is cylindrical drip pot with perforated cone-shaped base which is perpendicular to axis of cylindrical dividing branch pipe; distance between base of cylindrical drip pot and end face of cylindrical dividing branch pipe ranges from 0.5 to 4.0 of diameter of its outlet hole.
