Summary:FIELD: metallurgy; steels used in power- plant engineering; manufacture of disks and rotors for gas turbines. SUBSTANCE: cold-resistant steel includes the following components, mas.%: carbon, 0.08-0.13; chromium, 11.0-13.0; molybdenum, 1.5-1.75; nickel, 2.0-3.1; vanadium, 0.2-0.35; silicon, 0.03- 0.1; manganese, 0.05-0.1; niobium, 0.01-0.02; cerium, up to 0.5; and iron, the balance at the following ratio: (chromium+molybdenum+niobium+vanadium)-(1.5 nickel+30 carbon)= 4.2-6.7. Heat resistance of proposed steel is increased due to increase of impact strength at temperature of from -60 to 20 C. EFFECT: enhanced momentary, long-term and cyclic strength of steel. 3 tbl
